btw i searched for the 900a on a swedish shopping site but it didnt show up. It has all others like 901 and 900 and older models. is there any other name for it or something???

It's not sold in Sweden but you could order one from usa or germany..

Only non shiny ones are old celeron version like Eee 900 and 701

the linux one has more inbuild sd. can i just buy the linux version and install windows on it? and have all the drivers properly installed (like webcam soundcard lan and stuff)

They should have removed the buttons on the trackpad and made it a little longer since its multitouch...

I think the trackpad difference between the 900 and 900a is actually hardware and not just firmware - I read elsewhere that the 900a doesn't have hardware support for multi-touch gestures because it's a different brand of trackpad. I guess this is a cost-cutting measure to keep the price down with the upgraded processor, like with the SSD speed you mentioned? Anyway, thanks for your excellent review. I have had a 900 for about 1.5 years which I run linux on and use for coding and physics calcs.

I have this eee pc for a year now and I am using it everyday. Checking e-mail, skype and web browsing, that is what I need comuter for. Only think I want to improve is battery life, but maybe I shoud buy the newer Eee PCs. I feel nostalgic using the 9 inch netbook, why are netbooks getting bigger and bigger , soon they will reach a normal notebook size. Keep up the great work Jkk! Love your every single video!

Yeah, would work just fine. If you are using Linux on it, there is a Linux version of Limewire. And then instead of iTunes you can use gtk-pod, which will sync to any iPod without erasing your music collection.
