5 Time Karate/Kickboxing champion Anthony "Amp" Elmore was a student of Eastern philosophy early in his life. In 1975 Elmore joined the Nichiren Shoshu Buddhist sect based in Taisekiji Japan. They chant the phase Nam Myoho Renge kyo. Early in Elmore's life he was a community activist and after joining the Buddhist faith the practice inspired Elmore to take a main streat active course in life. Elmore's Buddhist practice inspired him to beome a world Karate/Kickboxing Champion. In the movie scene Elmore Chants Nam Myoho Renge Kyo to bring us his Buddhist faith and life condition prior to getting into the fighting ring. In this scene while chanting Elmore sees his entire life and focus his ichinen or life force at becoming a World Champion Kickboxer.
