@Sleighton10001 Yes, euthanasia is different from assisted suicide; you're absolutely right. Euthanasia can be done WITHOUT the consent of the subject; case in point, animals. We routinely euthanize animals without any consent from them. Meanwhile, assisted suicide directly IMPLIES that the person wished to end his life; it implies CONSENT. The term assisted suicide is perfectly adequate and appropriate, which makes you a complete moron.

At the same time of "freedom of bodies"; if a fetus is an unborn child, wouldn't killing it be taking away it's freedom of life? Just as it would be to disallow forcing a women to birth a child. That is a lose lose.

@bubbamickmac What makes you say that? I'm not sure I follow you.

Your childish idea about an "international law" belies a great ignorance of the nature of international relations and what it means to make a law in the first place. Your tendancy is to portray issues in terms of absolutes. Sorry, but the world is not black/white; it is grey. The interest of positive public policy (in civilized countries) can outweigh a supposed "right" to assisted suicide or even a "right" to "control" your own body.

@Blndrfist "it was just a statement of fact about you."
well then, you have no business being here in the comments section if you're not going to conduct yourself in a fair manner.
as for an "international law," I realized BEFORE I made the video that it was unrealistic; however, it doesn't mean we can't work towards a goal.
i hope this is the last time I ever have to engage w/ you troll.
thanks anyway...

I feel an undescribable sadness that society, but particularly the government, has made life so unbearable that some people are contemplating suicide. I mean just think about it, they make life so horrendous that you chose suicide over living. I think this is the ultimate indicator that things are not okay and perhaps that's why open debates are not welcome.

@ZOMGitsCriss Hey, nobody's perfect.
I thought the blog post was fine. I brought up that particular passage from it because I think it refuted a stereotype regarding this issue that is depicted here in the US about how suicide is always an immoral act. What this all comes down to is who is really suffering. Teens do need help and are suffering emotionally; however, it's really people who have terminal illnesses that we should allow them to go if they want to.
Thanks again 4 the video :)
