Dave brought out his antique Flying Wing which he hadn't flown in 33 years. His flight was successful, so he let me fly it. I had never flown a gas powered model before, so this was all new to me. I don't know how to set the needle valves and all that good jazz that goes along with getting these engines to run, so Dave did all the 'dirty' work, and I just got to have some fun! I thought I was an RC addict before with all my electrics. Now I'm DEFINITELY hooked. I gotta get me one of these!!!

  • Looked like a cross wind landing? Dead stick, crosswind landing, your a beast!

  • @magicmike1122 Thanks for the great compliment. It was a dead stick, slight crosswind, couldn't hear the airplane, challenging landing.

  • i would of been simply terrified i was gonna crash daves antique wing.holy smoke hold on to your pants batman!

  • @bloodhound122 Haha...I was a little nervous.

  • excellent dead stick landing man! nice, better be ready... July is ice Cream Days!

  • @rele30 Hmmm...ice cream in July sounds tasty. I'll have to rattle Dave's cage about that one.......lol

  • Fantastic. I really laughed at some of my own comments and was happy to see you fly the gas one. Next I will have to let you take a few rounds on my Gas PT 19. Choo Choo!

Thumbs up and good flying. ~NightFlyyer~

  • Hi Jeff,

Just found this video. Great job on the deadstick landing in a stiff Iowa crosswind!

  • Awesome flying. Perfect timing with the train in the background.

  • Flying Dave Herberts antique flying wing, 1st time Nitro (more weight) no pressure, lol.

  • awesome, I got a great buzz from my 1st nitro plane, and I still do!

  • Ah, sweet, thats pretty cool, I said the same thing Jeff, I'm hooked , now I'm out buying nitro stuff, lol, good job flying man~Bob

  • @ramis182 Thanks. Like I said in the video...I could hear when it quit, I only felt it when it ran out of fuel. I'm lucky it ran out where it did, otherwise the landing could have been a lot uglier.
