Came across this derelict WWII bunker near St Marthas Church Guildford - it was built 70 years ago when a German invasion of southern England seemed immanent - it has commanding views over the countryside below. There are many such bunkers tucked away in the Surrey Hills.

  • who owns these bunkers as id turn 1 in to a house for free

  • nice one .';-)

  • this was a waste of time it shows nothing about them at all

  • they were part of a network to defend strategic points - there is one next to a castle in kent at a river crossing with large field of fire across open fields.

  • there called pill boxes you can find them all over Essex and Kent especially around the coast and across the Thames Estuary.

  • Cool- there's some like that near Farnborough, too.

  • These bunker designs are totaly diverent than in europe, long time ago i have been in France (normandy) the designs were the same like in the Netherlands only they were huge in france
