Somerset - the new home for Renewable Energy

Green energy could be the key to lifting the south west out of recession, according to a new report, with a 78% increase in employment in the renewables sector and a 17% increase in value over the last two years.

Leading this shift is Somerset, whose LEP proposal highlights the county as a low carbon energy generation hub. A number of key partnerships and programmes are already expanding the renewables cluster in the county.
