Read his full story the detail he gives about some of the situations he encountered while he was trapped are truly mind blowing, he sometimes refers to Bigfoot as people and he didn't want to shoot to get away from them because A: they were big he was afraid the bullet wouldn't hurt them and B: he didn't want to go down for murder, he goes to say that these bigfoots had there own language

I LOVE Bigfoot!

Even if his story is true, I think it is so outlandish that it does more harm than good to the cause of trying to legitimize BF research.

@GBeret83 I think the reason his statements seemed to be contradictory is because he had to actually change his story due to the involvement of FBI agents, something to do with carrying a body across state lines, it's a criminal offence. I totally believe Hanson, he just had the misfortune of running into the feds and he wasnt down with that.

@GordonMorrice, Frank Hansen simply owned the "iceman", and if you'll take the time to actually check your facts, Hansen made a # of statements over the years contradicting himself about how he actually came into it's possession? And while entertaining, if you actually find Albert Ostman's story credible, then you truly are clueless!! JMO.

I think it's possible that Albert Ostman might have had a sighting or brief encounter wit a Sasquatch during his prospecting adventure. But I suspect he did what many hunters and outdoors men of the day did by making up a big "hunting tale"!! Probably exaggerating 95+% of what really happened? While being an entertaining tale. It's not likely that Ostman was carried off by a Sasquatch in his sleeping bag to their domicile, and then allowed to leave pretty much at his own leisure. Good fiction!!

DAMN BUTCHYKID, UV GONE TO FAR!

he was on crack

@theslicknessedm--I agree they clearly have some form of intellegence because they know to stay away from humans. Terry Reams has one of the most interesting accounts because his was witness by many others (including 4 police officers). I wouldn't say these things aren't violent as much as I would say rage is something that has to be provoked in them. This case with Mr. Ostman took place in 1924....But for real can you imagine pissing something that big and powerful off?????

theres the story of muchalat harry being kidnapped as well as old stories of indian maidens being taken too, maybe people have become too out of touch with the wilderness and nature and so we are kept at a distance to what might really be out there ?
Ostman took lie detector tests, was interrogated by a magistrate renowned for making criminals crack under questioning and Ostman NEVER cracked, never goofed up his story and never made a penny from his story, on the contrarym, he was ridiculed. But the man deserves his place in history, as does Roger Patterson and to a lesser degree, Frank Hansen.
