  • P-51 had a Merlin too..? from Brit? Just had a single take in.

  • love this video

  • I love the Spitfire!

  • Outstanding! From 4:41 to 5:10, AWESOME SHOT!!!

  • The Brits are much more in touch with their history than us Americans, sad to say. If you asked one in 10,000 Americans to pick out a P-51 from a 747 they couldn't do it. To bad we are taught to hate our country, whereas you British stand by your country despite your political differences. Good on ya!

  • The most beautifull airplane ever built in my eyes. The sound of that big V12 Merlin engine kisses my soul, the best sound ever. I first encounterd a Spitfire, prob MH434 at West Malling during my childhood, it was love at first sight. Still today with my two boys, 2 or 3 times a year go to the Legends airshow at Duxford . Now all i hear is " look daddy, a Spitfire"

  • Breathtaking. And heartbreaking. What a beautiful thing it is to see these aircraft flying, and yet I cannot help but to think what it was like to see these planes leave the ground 70 years ago... I cannot wrap my thoughts around such emotions. From an American nearly 2 generations removed from those men who flew those planes in a most desperate hour... I see these planes, I hold back a tear as I thank them in my heart.

  • Excellent...!

  • Fantastic! Thanks for the post.

  • them 3 flying together,is the best sound a human ear can pick up,full stop, there is nothing that comes close,oh hang on ive just thought of something, yes thats it a typhoon with full afterburners, no ive got it wrong its a spitfire, that is my no 1 ,but my second favorite plane sound is a lancaster,ps i love to see all clasic planes flying and best of all to hear them lovely piston engines,
