I hate Yuppies & Yuppie Bikers.
You never really see any in East Oakland though.
Friscos been wrecked by them.
I also thought Sturgis was a fucking bore!
I rode out and saw all the trailers, and stuck up freaks.
As I stayed in a little tent on a K.O.A. ground in Spearhead
surrounded by R.Vs & trailers
I stayed at Sturgis one day and split.

R.U.B.S...rich urban bikers....lol. Gotta earn it threw the years. I have a great respect for bikers and wish them the best. I can't wait till the day I get to the full throttle saloon before I die. I would like to join an out law biker gang someday just for the experience and thrill....I would probably end up in jail so probably not the best decision but what a lifetime thrill that would be just riding with 200 hundred others on that freeway. Just acting tough and cool....that is awesome.

I thought so. I think lotsa times folks get caught up in crap like what to call something. Keith Richards once said, "I don't care hoe

I was raised around the cliche biker scene. My dad was a member of a club for many years. I grew up around clubhouses and such. The one thing I learned over the years is that it doesn't matter what kind of bike your ride, what type of job you have, the type of clothes you wear, etc...it's all about who you are as a person. Anyone can dress the part, but a select actually live it. They truly live to ride and ride to live...and that ain't just some cheap patch they bought at the last rally.

same as my jeep and my harely.. I ride there and back.. No trailer queen here...(yet) But I do have new leathers! (a dear friend just started a biz selling them so, I had to be first in line, its what friends do ) and my jeeps I got new in 95, my bike I got used in 92, its a 83..

you might want to add a helmet to all that "protection"

I have rode rice rockets when I was young and rode wheelies down the highway.. kicked-ass on motorcross, now I am a old man(50yrs) I ride a harley and still have one of my sport bikes and for years I owned no harley apperal now I do and I know people who just got into bikes and order all the pins and patches the online world has to offer and learn a little and say they have been doing it for years to people who don't know better ..if I was just starting out I wouldn't be ashamed
I have a 2007 Wide Glide. I ride it a lot because it's fun.

Yuppies try to buy into many pursuits and are offended when others note their obvious lack of experience. They descend on REI buying gargantuan tents, elaborate stoves, and sub-zero clothing for a basic guided 2-day camping trip in early Fall. Or they become "mountain climbers", acquire gobs of gear, and make a big deal about a beginner's climb. Even when they ride mere bicycles they buy the "Lance Armstrong" outfit. You might want to actually first EARN the gear and then you get the respect.

yes... for those of us who have walked the walk and have earned it, it is difficult to watch the weekend warriors.

I myself have been riding since I was 10, I will soon be 50. I LOVE my bikes, my Volusia and my HD. My brother road his 57 pan until an 85 yr. old lady ran a stop sign and killing him. That was in 1985 & I still ride and enjoy the fellowship, brotherhood and friendship of ALL bikers. Yes sir, Itchy, I agree, I will ride with ANYONE at ANYTIME. As soon as I leave Iraq, I am planning a ride from MS. to CA, Hwy 1. Anyone wants to ride, LETS GO. Jesus loves bikers to. "RIDE HARD and DIE FREE."
