Excellent thank you. I've just started sewing and I'm learning everything from youtube. This video was precise, to the point and educational. Thanks for taking the time to teach in here.

thanks for the video. I would just like to clear things out. Have you ended sewing the dart just within the end point of the dart and you reversed it but not through the dart line going through a straight line (which is the folded one or the line at the middle) instead. Am I right? Thanks.

Thank you so much!

@ozmodiar138 Are you an idiot? That IS how you sew a dart. You would assume the measuring was done prior to marking out the darts, and you don't really need to pin it unless you're completely stupid as it's only about 5cm long. BUT THIS IS HOW A DART IS DONE.

This video is highly misleading, and inadequate in defining/ demonstrating proper construction of a dart. Sewing a triangle off the edge of a square piece of fabric is in no way comparable to measuring, pinning, and stitching a dart into a shirt or other garment. For anyone learning to make their own alterations, there is absolutely no practical information here.
Hey All, We're really glad you liked the video and found it useful. Be sure to check out sewmag.co.uk for free patterns and all our sewing videos in one place. =)
