  • I was at Capital Ex when this happened.... One day i will not forget.. That shit was SCARY

  • @BieberFace Yes, this day was pretty scary! Near my house, the clouds were so low and dark and the winds so strong, I thought a tornado might be just over the horizon!

  • Holy crap I remember this storm , the frickin

Sky was green in the south side!!! And the lightning was almost nonstop , and hail chipped mah window !!

  • @allkorobko123 No doubt this was an insane storm and I remember it like the July 18th, '09 storm happened yesterday! The lightning was some of the most frequent I've ever seen and I'm lucky my neighbour's tree snapped and crashed onto the street away from my car!

  • The cops were probably responding to calls of injured people or car crashes caused by severe storms. There's no tornado/storm siren system in Edmonton. Those are found in the heart of tornado alley, especially in Texas and Oklahoma. In Alberta, there has been a public warning system ever since the Edmonton Tornado on July 31, 1987 to warn the public about tornadoes, fires, floods and even amber alerts for missing children.

  • And that storm was kind of like an extremely unruly, rowdy, wasted party crasher too!!

  • what time of day was that? *gulps* Looks scary though...

  • @mesedrew also if you want search on google type fort sask outdoor sirens it will come up.

  • @mesedrew the 5 is what i know of so far in edmonton i'm sure theres more ive heared them once in 2007 on the south side of edmonton.

  • @mesedrew In fort sask theres one off of 84 st and highway 21 into fort sask.

  • @Davemeister22 There are some sirenbs in edmonton about 5 theres one off of 97 street and yellowhead trail next to the rail yard its an sd 10 and there are other sd 10s throughout the city but i'm not sure where they are. Fort saskatchewan has 7 alertronic sirens but this year they are replacing them with new louder mechanical sirens so there will be only 3 sites after the upgrade. this system has been in place scince 1988.
