  • Whenever I'm climbing a hill and struggling, I try to think of a song and just sing it in my head. Takes my thoughts off of my body hurting.

  • You dont need to ride with people that are faster , try making a long trip nonstop, if your really tired you still need to make that trip back home so your going to force yourself to ride

  • @DarkoBWM I do the same damn thing. Always have.

  • @DarkoBWM Thanks for that, i've tried thinking of someone i don't like and also of someone i do like, tried putting the hill out of my head and just digging in. Nowt works! So i'll try your way with the song!

  • @DarkoBWM That's exactly what I do; works every time!

  • @samstterhamstteer yea you're gonna force yourself to ride but it's not doing yourself much good if you're riding at 5mph the whole way

  • @eamonnca1 AHM.

  • this is that common shop advice. if you want to get better at riding, ride till it hurts to sit down on your bed every day. Eat like you've never eaten. CONSUME epic amounts of sleep. Intervals. Sprints.

    Pain+Will+Time= Pro. period

Train in the wind. it makes you stronger.

Don't carb up one day a week. The pain you feel on that ride mentally conditions you for the real pain of 12% grade fully loaded.

most importantly...if you don't want it? you'll suck ass, and finish last

  • Only 8 'ahms' in this one. Good advice too.

  • yhea and i lost but he was stupid
