I know you and I have had this discussion in the past, but I've been thinking about it recently (actual thinking, I swear), and I've come to the conclusion that more simplistic, strategic games like chess are where the competition is at in terms of tournament-style gaming. I have no doubt that, if I should apply myself, I could become relatively proficient at chess; the problem is that I would have a very difficult time motivating myself.

My post was so long I had no post a second one...

Anyway, the strategies of the games themselves are only one facet of the hobby - the painting and modelling opportunities are an aspect not afforded by games such as chess, and are the real reason why I play the games. Having a closer, more competitive game is fun, but without those models to back it up I don't see the appeal.

You were right about the battle suits. Normal Crisis battle suits have WS2 and 2 wounds, although the battle suit command squad is upgraded to WS3. Still though, it looks like you defeated them anyway. Nice reports!
