Bernie Mac interview with Charlie Rose - May 23, 2002

"I'm going to be myself. I do what I do, and let the dice fall where they may. I'm here to make people laugh. Life's no rehearsal. This is showtime! And every time I touch that mic, I'm coming to play!" - Ebony interview, 2003

  • you know he really wanted to call that book,i aint scared of you MUTHAFUCKERS hahhahhaha

  • i watch his show every morning...he was so real, so genuine, so himself, iforget he is gone!!!! i love u bernard "bernie" mccullough!!!!!

  • i get choked up everytime i hear bernie mac call charlie rose "chralie". bernie man was a genuine guy, and when he said charlie, he meant it as one man to another. it's when a man who likes being a "clown" can have a down to earth conversation. his wisdom was/is so deep and thoughtful. the way his comedy "tapped" into other people's lives, this interview will stay with me forever. RIP BERNIE MAC :')

  • so missed.

  • What a class act!

  • what a great roll model! we miss you man!

  • wow. cant believe its been nearly 3 yrs. this interview was REAL deep! it shows how intelligent and articulate he was. he could goof off yet, still hold a decent conversation. rip bernie we miss you

  • bernie mac was the epitome of a well-rounded individual, a working-class hero, family man, kind hearted soul devoid of prejudice.

    There ain't many like him.

  • Rest In Peace, Bernie Mac!
