Dare to Dream Different Contest - Smart Rain

Sometimes people have to leave their houses for long time. In this case we find the one who will look after our favourite indoor plants or to invent other ways to water them. I want to build smart device to solve this problem. It will measure an ambient temperature, soil moisture of each plant, time of day. Using this information and user s preferences concerning a water mode of each kind of plant, the controller will switch the water valve for each plant ant will turn on water pump.User s preferences can be entered using touch screen from modes list stored in internal database or entered directly.Results of work and current status can be sent to server. So the careful owner, being far from the house, can know about a condition of the favourite plants.
