These are my first gloves that I made using faux fur, sculpey clay, white acrylic paint and mod podge ^_^

they're wolf paws- the fingers were shortened so it looks more like a dog's paw

They're sewn very studily, and even flipped in at the bottom for added comfort- nice and fluffy :3

it's also much more limber than I thought it would be XD I can pick up my tiny pencil sharpener without much trouble.

  • how'd you make em so shiny? i used purple sculpy and my claws look pretty dull.

  • @MissZebraWolf Mod podge- it's a glaze you can put over sculpey- not nearly as expensive as 'sculpey' brand glaze is, but works just as well :)

Be sure to let it dry for at least a few days before handling it though- it's somewhat sticky before then, and if you get fingerprints in the glaze it won't look as shiny.

  • question. how did you attack the claws to the fur?

  • hot glue- but you have to score the bottom of the sculpey claws for a good attachment.

  • @phoenixwildfire

how did you make the claws shinny? when i baked the clay it had brown tint and stuff

  • @vampireAyane painted them with acrylic paint- then covered them with mod podge once the paint had dried.

It's made of the same peach cheaper version so super sculpey it sounds like you used- but I just painted it

  • @ForeverRegan oh... i see :D that's really cool! ^.^

  • How do you 'shorten the fingers'? I would like to do something like that with my future fursuit paws.

  • @jrpronk why not? it makes everyone around you have a good laugh and can better peoples days, when i fur up i go to children's hospitals and hug the kids and just make their day a bit better, not because i want attention, but because i want the kids to have a better day :-)

  • Dude. They are so epic. I want to make some. How did you get the shape, i was thinking of just using a glove and stitching fur onto them with added stuffing to make them thicker and i have no idea howto do the nails.. Can you please help??

  • go thundercats! =^_^=

  • @phoenixwildfire I prefer the E-6000 Glue stuff, it's like Glue made of Chuck Norris. o_o

Anyway, I got a small tube of E-6000 at Wal-Mart, next to the Hot Glue sticks in the Fabric Department I believe.

  • I recognize that toffee colored DF fur anywhere ^3^

  • No pawpads...? You should be ashammed
