Canoe Surfing Kalapaki Beach, Kauai.

Canoe Surfing, an ancient hawaiian sport, is alive and well at Kalapaki Beach, Kauai. This is us from the first seat: Kevin Bird, visiting from California and taking pictures, Simon Paine, Greg Davis, owner of the canoe, and Me (Chris Kauwe) steering. We do a "hui" or flip. Notice- the canoe rolls twice! Simon Paine, a recent transplant from England, is the only one who followed directions...stay in the canoe, no matter what! Also notice...Simon found his hat! That's so funny. This is Kevin who was in the very front of the canoe with another camera. Soon we will edit that shot in as well so stay tuned. What a funny wipe-out that was. Still in the canoe and still got his hat...of course everyone else is still missing :)
