REPOST: The audio of this slideshow was turned off by YouTube because of the third song of Michael Buble, so I changed it and repost this video.

"I first met Ava Gardner in 1942, she was 20 and I was 13. She was simply and in every way one of the most beautiful girls that one had ever seen in one's life. Her body was absolutely extraordinary, the way all her facial features were placed was perfect, she was classically beautiful. And her spirit was quite adorable. It's very strange to see that sort of tenderness radiating out of somebody that exquisitely beautiful...She didn't like herself. And so everyone felt wildly protective about Ava, and therein of course, lies madness. The vulnerability was part of her great appeal...
Ava was unique because she was an imperial creature with a great peasant streak, which is a miraculous combination to find...Hers was the most unpretentious elegance I ever knew...
...And as the light slowly came in, it was like a painting happening. It was the first time in years I'd seen her with all the war paint on, and I was devastated. "Good God, you really are gorgeous....Yes, you are. You are really some beautiful thing..."

  • the hollywood glamour girls were used and abused. she didnt even have money to be buried when she died. sinatra paid for her funeral tho he was remarried. these true beauties left a wonderful legacy of film that will never be matched again.

  • @Bombenette Read good biographies, not rumours. Sinatra didn't pay for her funeral, he just sent the flowers. Ava had enough money in her older years.

  • @gatabella3 he not only paid for her funeral, he paid her medical care costs the last couple years of her life. period. end of report.

  • @Bombenette In Ava's biography the author Lee Server writes that these are false rumours. Period.

  • @kateclay100 I think it's obvious that a question of beauty is totally subjective, so this talk is useless.

  • @kateclay100 The color of the skin has nothing to do, half of the world has white skin but Ava is Ava. I've seen many times Iman and Diana Ross, Iman is an attractive woman, Diana Ross is not a beauty, imo.

  • Note the lack of eye makeup

  • Awesome. My big three are Ava, Marilyn, and Natalie Wood

  • She was beautiful in a time that there is so few plastic surgeries available and scarce make up resources. So, this made her one of the most beautiful actress of all time. Today is easy to be pretty by rhinoplasty, liposuction, peeling and breast prosthesis. And Ava has a timeless beauty, if she worked as an actress today she will be considered one of the most beautiful ones.

  • She was really beautiful

  • Ava had it all and I was told by by people that knew her in North Carolina that she could make the men CRAWL ON THEIR HANDS AND KNEES AND BEG FOR IT. I dont know nay woman who could do that!

  • @MegaShasha79

Fake eyebrows? Ava was the type of woman who could go out without a speck of face paint and turn heads.
