Billy Elliot (film) score by Stephen Warbeck

I've seen many questions regarding the song that Billy Elliot dances to when confronting his father. Contrary to what many have said, this is not from Swan Lake, Tchaikovsky, or any other classical music piece. This was written for the film by the film's composer Stephen Warbeck who has an extensive career of writing music for film and television.




Presented here is the scene with an isolated version of the score -- there is no dialogue, Foley sound effects, or ADR.

I believe this song does not have an official name. In the scoring of the film, I think it is referred to by the scene number in which it occurs.

I pulled the audio of this track from the press kit that was sent out before the film's premiere. I think that is the only source of the song.

Hi there, no I didn't edit the sound. This is a final stereo mix which is found in the promo pack for the film. Some of the score was provided on a short CD which was given to the media.

I would REALLY love to see the film score, especially for the scene after Billy 'sees' his mom when getting out the milk when he's practicing with his ballet teacher. Inspiring piano music!
