Don't they do the same thing with disabled M1 Abrams Tanks? I know they need to keep the enemy from getting their hands on such powerful hardware but those things cost as much as they weigh.

@bestamerica I'm still right. try thinking of the resources you would have to use up to recover it, and the un-needed danger you would put more lives in by trying to save it, when its easier and safer to just destroy it in place......
