So many great Marty Wilde tracks remain unavailable. The Universal package was good, but theres enough good stuff for at least a double CD comp. Nice to hear the songwriter sing their own song too.

Now I have listened to it he sings it ace but the Casuals version sticks in my mind as I heard it first.Love the littlewarbles that he does very nice touch.

I prefer when he sings this way instead of doing a fake american vocal, he should have done more of this stuff.

It'd be interesting to know when this version was recorded. As was the done thing back then, I'm sure that Marty would have demoed the song - the question is, would the arrangements have been in place at that time? Or would his demo have been sparse and the arrangements done by the producers of the Casuals version or, indeed the Bystanders, whose arrangement was less elaborate than the Casuals. Either way, it's always great to hear a song sung by its writer!
