why not take a reading at the back of her head looking to the background this will tell you how much light is hitting the back of her

@devonmale69 That's a way of doing it, but it's only necessary if there isn't enough space between the front subject (model) and the rear subject (background) If there is enough space, and if the light level on the rear subject hasn't been set too high, there will be a VERY low level of light hitting the back of the head
