When challenged in court he couldn't prove he had not! He lost his case. Where did they think all the Jews were going? The beatings on the street the people disappearing? No other stars else went to the concentration camps as visitors - only Heesters.

@jonjamg May 21, 1941 Johan Heesters visits Dachau concentration camp. The theatre stuff of munich war invited, in those days this ment to be forced to go there. Dachau's own orchester played music. This was one thing to make visitors believe, that it is just a working camp with prisioners which are threatened well. Bad things were hidden and not shown. (We know about that today, but in 1941 just a few ‘the politician head’ knew) Heesters didn't entertain concentration camp guards

Was Heesters doing anything the other Nazi-era stars weren't? (Don't get me wrong.I love Marika, Ruhmann, and Albers.)
