Sitting on track one at the station is METX188 with BNSF train #1284. Pulling in to unload on track three is METX191 with BNSF train #1261. And as #1261 and #1284 pull away here comes BNSF train #1267 poking along on track two. No real reason why this Naperville express slowed to a crawl but had stopped just out of the frame.

  • now that is cool where is this crossing?

  • This crossing is in Downers Grove, a west suburb of Chicago. The control point just west of the crossing (which is also bisected by a diagonal street just out of frame to the left) serves as a turning point for some rush hour trains so they can return to Chicago and make second trips.

This crossing is also the site of a 1991 accident (called "traingirl") that was caught on amateur video.

  • the reason why the express slowed down to a crawl is because that train crosses over to either to track one or track 3. i forget...that is an Xpress and makes 2 stops only....one for Naperville and Rt 59 and thats it...he did his runnin already, lol
