  • Okay, big man, let's see you do better. This isn't restaurant kitchen 101--it's home economics. . . .I have cranked out 1000's of pounds of pasta on those "toys". Sure an 8 inch machine is great, so is a sheeter, but most home cooks can't afford such real "toys". As for slicing it properly. . .WTF? I didn't know there was an approved method for what I was making. Have you ever been to Italy? Studied Pasta making? Made a video? Put up or shut up.

  • i'm really glad you posted this though! i always wanted to see how homemade pasta was done

  • I'm in the midst of editing a video about hand making pasta--keep your eye out.

  • @Podchef I may say im impressed, i just startet making homemade pasta. We eat organic and organic pasta is just too expensive. And making pasta isnt as easy as you make it look. Cudos!

  • Thanks so much. I needed to see the basics, and that's exactly what you showed. I'm much obliged. :)

  • VERY NICE! THANK YOU!

  • EXCELLENT video! Not a word and the proceedures were very clear! What is your pasta recipe? I use @ 2 cups white flour and 1 cup semolina flour to 3 eggs. Thank you!

  • Great video, thanks for posting. I got bit by the pasta bug about 6 months ago and am still going strong.

One tip I've come across - I have a very similar pasta roller, and I've found that mounting it much closer to the corner of the table allows me to use another clamp (standard C clamp) on the far side of the roller, attached to the base, which makes it MUCH steadier.

  • Awsome video. Thanks for posting. 5*

  • Fantastic! You are an expert of this there is no doubt. You don't "pull" the dough as it comes out, Very neatly done. As for Demiglace... he doesn't get it. But then again he can't even spell "kindergarten". Thanks for posting this. Great job!

  • well done mate! you make it look easy!
