Here's an interestiing ad by a local dental group, advertising how dental health can effect general health. The dentist is referring to the damaging effects of chronic low-grade inflammation (e.g. from dental abscesses) on one's cardiovascular health.
Will this kind of "doctor-talk" resonate with the general public? In other words, is the public ready to take control of their own health, i.e. AKA prevention?
Does the general public even CARE about geeky topics like prevention (at least not until AFTER they've experienced a costly and debilitating heart attack or stroke)?
FWIW, I accidentally cut off the word, "first" at the end of the video. The line was, "we place your health and comfort FIRST".
PS I just noticed the girl at 22 sec in the video: she's sporting the popular (at least still popular in Bakersfield) Victoria Beckham-inspired 'Pob' (a contraction of Posh-Bob: honest, I didn't know the name until I Googled to find out WHAT they call it).
Are people still walking around with goofy-looking hairstyles in your town? (Posh can pull off wearing a mop)
