It doesn't look like strong lift at all, Besides that you should definitely get better climb in 40-50 degrees bank, circling closer to a core.

Ha ha, come to daddy! Come to Australia, and then you will get strong lift. I've had the vario lockup on max, and the alt was going around once every 30 seconds. That's why branches off trees were in the thermal with me! You ever caught the one thermal off a 2000 foot launch to cloud base at 17,000 feet, with a minimum 1800fpm rate of climb?
