@PeiHomeBrewer, I will have to give it try. Keep fermenting! I'm heading for the basement soon to get an Irish Stout going...

Nice! I'll have to see if I can find them in my neck of the woods. I've tried the Cooper's stout from the store before, but didn't like it too much. Didn't seem quite right to me--at least, what I look for in a stout. This though looks very good!!

@bigmig54 I reuse twist offs all the time, never had a problem with them. I have to use my hand capper though. The bench capper is a bitch with them.

Today I asked at my brewshop where they might have Coopers around here. He gave me directions. It was a 30 mile drive from my house. Yes, they had 3 varieties, so I got 'em. I found Sparkling Ale extremely bitter and "funny-tasting" to me, not pleasant at all (with and without sediment, although the sediment did cut the bitter a bit). But the Pale Ale,marvelous, love it! Light citris nose, honey malt, softly bittered, cascade hops maybe(?), super!! I'm saving the ExtraStout for another day.

Hey PEI love your videos been watching a long time. I have brewed Coopers kits like you wouldn't believe true. I brew 10 kits on a good month, I have had all the flavours everybody has been chatting about. I have had off flavours and I have had beer that is just really good from the kits. Everyone with a half a mind knows in our world today if you buy anything in a can its.. AS IS esp from the other side of the earth!!!! My deal is whats up with the COOPERS HAT ??? are you corporate now??
tick-tock.. tick-tock...... *yawn*

Now, I want to try the coopers sparkling ale kit.

@kwaidonjin I wouldn't mind trying it myself, but I can't get it here. I think the yeast makes the difference. The stuff that comes with the can isn't going to taste like that.

LOL. I found them hard to open Twist Off also. Your welcome buddy! Glad you liked it. IMO when you try it without the sediment, the citrus flavor/profile won't be there and the bitterness really comes through. Good both ways, but I prefer it cloudy. I can't wait to see what you think.

@weirdbeer I am going to use a cloth or something next time. I want to save the cap and make a fridge magnet out of it.
