A section of the West Fork of Little River runs through DeSoto State Park atop Lookout Mountain near Fort Payne, Alabama. DeSoto State Park maintenance supervisor, Shan Gilliam and friends successfully made the expert class run on May 8, 2009. This video shows the highlights of their trip. Other nearby kayaking opportunities include Little River Canyon National Preserve.
