Meet ze Combat Medic - Part 2/2

Welcome to Meet ze Combat Medic.
The Medic is a pretty fun class indeed. When this video was recorded I got approx. 85 hours as Medic on the clock.
Also I forget to talk about something important in this video - the alternatives.
The Blutsauger is pretty much garbage since the last update. The higher regeneration rate is far more vital than just the ability of being able to leech life from an enemy.
The Kritzkrieg is a lovely alternative. I often use it on 5CP maps since it's quicker ready and so be a big advantage. Besides it's just so lovely to see the giblet-confetti flying if you power a fellow Soldier or Demo with the charge. Heavy is also a nice alternative and a Pyro can be tons of fun when he knows how the handle the compression blast.

PS: I know I said that I want to do it in order of the class select screen but fuck it. :p

I know that this video doesn't showcase how you play the Medic properly and I would never play in this style in a pug/scrim/whatever.

But hey, it's a stinking pubserver. There's nothing bad when I step out of my character as Healer and take killing matters into my own hands.

At what cost? The battle? You should be working with your team to win, using them as shields and healing can be a better strategy in most scenarios than trying to spray everything down while rushing head first into them. Pub servers would be a LOT more enjoyable if even a bit more of the population worked together. The number of ubers you're able to use during a battle will determine victory, you just need to use them when the team is alive and ready to push.

What's the loss when loosing a game in a pubserver? Answer: There is none.

Look I'm not thick and I know how to be a proper Medic slave. Just the problem that being a Medic slave is boring. I could just run away from every possible threat, but the hell... there's a reason why Valve gave me an Ubersaw and a Syringe Gun. And that's the fun of being so aggresive - most people don't expect this from Medics.

You are one of few people that I know that think this way. Being a Medic slave is boring indeed.... It's more fun to be a Combat Medic and kill Heavies... =P
