Project SATURATION: Scene 01 Animatic

This is a very rough layout of the first scene of "Project Saturation," directed and produced by Supermariogalaxy13, written by JaxStern256, and animated by myself. Do note that this is VERY rough, and is no way related to the quality of the final project. An animatic is a moving storyboard, not an animation. Anything present in this video is subject to change in the final project.

'Synopsis: Luna and Celestia detect that Discord, despite being imprisoned in stone, is still at work. Instead of attempting to fight him, they free him in exchange that he enter an agreement to, once again, challenge Twilight Sparkle and her friends. On the surface, this is to improve the abilities of the main six so they can confront unknown threats in the future, which Celestia and Luna are wary of, but Celestia also believes that the six may be able to remind Discord of a past life, where he would not be so motivated to malicious intents.

The story will follow Discord as he tests the mane 6 (minus Twilight) individually, separated from Twilight and unable to rely on her magic. Twilight, meanwhile, is instructed to join Discord, yet will she be successful in turning his heart?'

If you'e interested in helping on this project, we are in need of voice actors and VECTOR artists (to make puppet sets), and potentially a few animators (though I already have two other animators I am currently considering). We need people who are in this all the way, and after running the numbers it'll likely be an hour long all together. Adequate skill levels are nice, but what's more important is that you can work with others!

I hope my audition is good enough for Aquilinus, because he looks more complex than I anticipated. But I like a good challenge.

@nigahiga68 As a character he is, but we don't have a concept drawn for him yet. He will look mostly like an elite guard pony, but will have a few shots without his helmet.

Should totally 'boil" those lines to give it a sense of difference. Just grab the outlines (if you use the brush) and change the smoothness up or down, every frame. Don't actually paint with different smoothness but after the out lines are dawn and ready to be colored. not only does it make it look a bit better but it can also be used for a break between drawing and can let you inspect your work to see if you need to change anything.

I wish I had my CS4 on this thing or i could do some vectors

@novajigsaw I know how to boil, just wasn't working well at 8 fps and it's an animatic, not an animation.

The actual product will not contain any trace of this, it'll be a completely new file.

Yeah, didn't mean the animatic. Actually now that i think of it, using vectors with boil wouldn't work at all. I think I was just excited. Two years and a damn certificate does that to me. Well i wish I could help but I'd be more of a 5th wheel.
