Jesus Christ Superstar (2000) Hosanna (6) (((Stereo)))

Personally, I like both film versions a lot-but the Hosanna in this version just seems way better than the 1973 version. I also prefer the priests in this version-the dark looks & bald heads work far more effectively than ridiculous looking hats ;)!

I definitely agree with your comment. In general I think the costume and set design of the 2000 version is much better.  Except for making Simon Zealotes look like a misplaced Rent cast member, in my opinion.
The '73 version had some bizzare set design, I did like that they made Jesus' followers look like hippies, which really they were in a way. But the soviet tanks chasing Judas?

This version made some interesting choices too, but I think making Pilates look like an SS soldier fit.

What I like about thsi version is Jesus actually sings that part to Annas and Caiaphas. It makes sense.
