  • This was when- 2004?

  • It was taped in late 2003 and aired on Bravo in early 2004. I talked to someone in the studio audience and she told me they taped for 5 hours! Bravo only gave us two. You'd think the DVD (released in 2007) would have extras but this is it. Great interview nonetheless.

  • BARBRA!!! LOVE. Period. The best.

  • Anyone who has gone from impoverished childhood to success can relate to Streisand's quirks, I think. You can tell she still hides the inferiority complex within her -her fixation on the trappings of elite /bourgeois culture -art, literature, design, etc., needing to appear refined or confirm her refinement, because she still feels "underclass" inside. ..

  • Barbra is such an amazing, beautiful, talented, brilliant woman. I couldnt live without her. <3

  • @bodidley70 Didn't even bother to greet Lipton. I agree.

  • she strikes me as a cold unfriendly type

  • when was this filmed?

  • @SimplyStreisandForum how depressing only 2 hours. I'd really want to see the WHOLE 5 hour interview and that includes all the other guests that have been interviewed on Inside the Actors Studio as well.

  • I discovered her in the last one or two years, I knew she was a star and I knew some of her songs and films but I never got her art, charm and beauty. Now I feel like if it would have been better to don't know her at all because I am really going to miss all these years of her performances and amazing beauty she was shinning all over the world while my head was turned elsewhere.

  • She is classic. A true gift from God in my opinion.

  • I've not seen this before, I was surprised she made reference to Edward Hopper since his work adorns most of the walls in my house and I've been a Streisand fan since seeing A Star is Born in'76....
