Narrated by Abu Hurayrah (radeya Allah anho) said that the Messenger of Allah said "The one who is riding should be giving Salam to the one who is walking, and who is walking to the one who is sitting, and those who are smaller in number to those are large in number."
Sahih Al-Bukhari.

عن أبي هريرة (رضي الله عنه) قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم "يسلم الراكب على الماشي، والماشي على القاعد، والقليل على الكثير."
صحيح البخاري


Narrated by the mother of believers Aishah (radeya Allah anha) that messenger of Allah said to her, "O Aishah, This is Gabriel, and he sends his Salam (greetings) to you." She replied, "Wa 'alaihi As-Salam Wa Rahmatu-Allah." (Peace and Allah's Mercy be on him).
Sahih Al-Bukhari.

عن أم المؤمنين عائشة رضي الله عنها، أنها قالت: قال رسول الله (صلى الله عليه وسلم) "ياعائشة، هذا جبريل يقرئك السلام." فقلت (عائشة) "وعليه السلام ورحمة الله."
