@archerpride No one. No one could use "North-northwest, the Stones of Faroe" in a song and get away with it. Perfect observation about this brilliant musician with timeless, effortless talent. :)

This song when i first heard it 20 years ago i thought was beautiful, but today losing contact with my parents, helps me to be strong with my position.

Perhaps people sometimes post the lyrics of a song because that allows them to re-experience the tune, or experience it at a deeper level.
I don't do it, though. With my luck, I'd get busted for plagiarism....

@journaler I love this tune: beautiful, tender, deeply felt, powerful lyrics and music, and it doesn't hurt that the man singing has such a special singing voice. I agree--it is really something to experience, to take in, this performance, by this artist, of this incredible song--so well performed no doubt as he, the singer, composed it. But: I don't think that I know what a religious experience is, or is like for a person. I can only "part-way" agree with your comparison--take care--Derek.

North-northwest, the Stones of Faroe.
Who else could use that in a song and get away with it?
Plus, Vinnie's drumming. Unbeatable.
