Playing George Harrison's parts on The Beatles' cover of Kansas City from their 1964 album, 'Beatles for Sale.' I'm playing a 1963 Gretsch Tennessean through a 1998 Vox AC30 TBX. The guitar has 11 gauge flatwound strings [Thomastik Infeld Jazz Swing Series].

No pedals.

  • slop-eee. Work on your slides man, your inner voicings are all over the place. Keep it up though, great to hear you playing GREAT music!

  • @lsjohnson8181 YouTube, where everyone's a critic. All these videos are pretty much 1 take. But I guess I'll polish them up some more for the peanut gallery.

  • Great job!

    Thanks for the tune!

  • @larzonya Thanks :).

  • Rarely see "Kansas City". Your parts sound just like the "Anthology" version. I take it watching what George was doing on the "Shindig" show video was some inspiration?

  • @RockandRollFan1991 Yeah, I really like that Shindig performance. They seemed like they were having a lot of fun at that show, and I think they had really hit their stride at that point of Beatlemania.
