  • yyyeeessss!!!

  • @WhiteMonarchs ... i dont know my roman numerals, but im guessing MCMXXXVII means 1937...

  • @enoching7 not sure if it relates to it...but its the year that nanking was invaded by Japan.

  • The popular music from Shanghai in the 30s has very little in common with this touching and evocative tune. This was the era of legendary singers like Yao Lee, Li Xiang Lan and Zhou Xuan. Yao Lee's vocals can be heard in SRP's version of "Rose Rose I love you."

  • In just one word: Nanjing.

  • @enoching7 ...Because the genre of music from that era is what inspired SRP to make their music.

  • @enoching7

    second sino-japanese war

  • I've known about these guys since 05. Since the regular DJ's wont put them on mainstream, then we need a TSRP radio station!

  • holy crap love them :)
