The second half of this mission consists of another of Future Shock's more elaborate and interesting platforming sections, which takes the player from the roof of a fire station to an abandonded construction site to the interiors of a brewery (!), before finishing off with some very tough fighting in front of the police station.

  • Answering my own question: I had to decrease DOSBox's cycles to 20000 - if the game runs too fast then it breaks jumping :)

  • @framerate Ha, I thought jumping in this game was just plain broken... ;)

  • ahh so this is where that big tank tread enemy shows up...was wondering why i haddent seen that yet

  • @Demiath i dunno, i think too many games are made way too easy by having such clues

  • Is there some trick to jumping up on to the garage door? I'm using run, trying to time the jump but I can never make it!

  • @Waxer3929 Guess that's the problem with old shooters; the level design wasn't remotely intuitive and the programmers apparently never felt it was particularly important to, y'know, give the player some decent clues about where to go next...
