  • I started to give this a thumbs down cause i am not there. You must be from up here cause of the duct tape on your boat. ( duct tape / WD40 fix most any thing )Glad to see you eating game on the trail. Was the moose a 3 brow tine or 4 . When you saw him i bet you wished you HAD BROUGHT A BIGGER BOAT. One of the best things in the world is simple messing about in boats

  • @matsubear Hope you gave it a thumbs up :)

Um, the bull was three brow, but less than five miles form the Haul Road -- did get a moose using a packraft once -- wrote a story about it in my book "Packrafting!"

  • i'm so looking at the alpacka raft 's but can't find many reviews on the durability of the material. if i use this on a loch and get a puncture won't that be it???

great vid, loved the music too

  • @sweetypie000 These boats are shockingly durable, especially when blown up hard. There is no direct review on durability but plenty of implicit reviews, like Hig and Erin's "Long Trek Home" (book) and the many videos of people rafting. Check out Eastcoastice1 video "Packrafting the SoFo" to see an pinned boat taking it.

  • @romandial thanks roman. I had a look at that video. one second it was pinned... next it was on shore...

if it's not the alpacka denali i'm going for its going to be the gumotex palava. thers a huge difference i know especially in size and weight and overall style. i'm edging to the packa because of its weight as a wild camper but trying to justify the overall price - will cost about £850 including paddle, spray deck and delivery to the UK for what looks like an innertube. what to do !

  • Five stars. The Dial family like legends once again. -Shawn J

  • All I've gotta say is: That's living life on a very high plane. It doesn't get much better than that.- Moe

  • Loving it! I'm after a packraft from Santa!
