If I order one from Oppo's website and enter instruction to send to Australia, will they send an EU version because we have the same Bluray region as Eorope. Does anybody here know?
Yea...go ahead and buy a less expensive player and have to replace in 18 months...COOL!!!!! spend more money once and be done with it. I'm done with consumer audio/video gear. High end used stuff is way better.
@AddictofFilm By default, it is region specific in regard to the country you buy it in. But of you go onto ebay, there are kits you can buy that make it region free.
Hello spiritswords83. From my personal experience this OPPOS BDP-83 player is worth every penny. . You feel like you are in the movie, albiet I am using a 120" matt white movie screen. I strongly urge you to spend the money and I promise you will be extremely happy you did. As soon as you hook the player to your TV you will undoubtedly see and hear a major difference in your home theater pleasure....Good luck with your choice....
So I bought a Vizio 42" 1080p LCD, non LED-lit, standard refresh rate. Blu-Ray discs look great on my Playstation 3, however, I threw in a DVD to test the upscaling, and it's OK, but i've definitely seen better upscaling. My question: Will shelling out the 500 bucks for this player be worth it? I would really like to see some of my favorite DVDs like The Wall, and concert DVDs in better resolution. Help please!!
I have a samsung BD-C6900 3D blu-ray player and i freakin' love it. the only thing i don't like is why does samsung not use a better build quality for their players. its all plastic. I wish they made my bd-c6900 also with brushed aluminum or metal. because of the plastic the samsung player feels very flimsy, like the drive tray. I wonder how the 1st 3D enabled blu ray players will look like from oppo.
This looks like a Definitive Blu-Ray Player.
