This just started about 3 weeks ago and unfortunately only does it when it's cold. It lasts about 7-15 seconds and the exhaust smell is brutale, like raw fuel smell. I can't describe it. It's so hard to diagnose that I just put it on a video so that I can show the dealer and maybe they'll have some solution.
Wish there was some way to repeat the situation instead of waiting for a raw cold start. Like 8-10 hours worth. It does it when you start it manually or with the remote start.
Any suggestions greatly appreciated!!!
Did you try replacing the engine coolant temperature sensor?

@bandrewsv8mgb -- It was actually a fuel related issue. I changed the grade of fuel or at least mix it up between 87,89, and 91 and that seems to have calmed it down.
