Chapter 7
Ashleys P.O.V.
There was a knock on my door and without asking my mom came in.
Mrs. Morgan- Ashley?
Ashley-(sleepily) ugh what?
Mrs. Morgan-sweetheart, theres a letter here for you.

I sat up in bed and she gave me the letter before leaving. There was a note written on the envelope in Natalies handwriting.

Please dont read this letter until Nick and Joe are with you

I quickly got out of bed and through a hoodie on over my pajamas before running out the front door. When I finally got to the Jonas house I saw the garage open and two legs sticking out from a car. As I got closer I realized the car was Nicks baby, Rosie, a 65 Mustang Cobra. I kicked his shoes with my foot and Nick appeared from under the car.
Nick- what the- oh hey Ashley
Ashley- wheres Joe?
Nick- inside why?
Ashley- stay here. Be right back.

I ran in the house and upstairs to Joes room where I found him snoring and sleeping in the weirdest position.
Ashley- JOE!
Joe- (falls out of bed alarmed) I didnt do it! Oh. What are you doing here Ashley?
Ashley- come with me (pause) and put a shirt on. Youre gonna give me nightmares.
Joe- alright, alright whats the rush?
Ashley- just come on

We headed downstairs to the kitchen where Nick was washing his hands. I sat on the counter next to where he was standing while Joe grabbed some OJ from the fridge. Once he and Nick had sat down on bar stools at the island I pulled out the envelope.
Ashley- my mom said Natalie left this for me this morning. It says I cant read it without you guys though
Nick- ok then-
Joe- What are you waiting for? Open it.

I opened the letter and took out three pieces of paper. I unfolded the one that said read me first
Ashley-

Dear Ashley, Nick and Joe.
Im writing you this letter to let you guys know that Im gone. I just needed to get away from everything and everyone right now. Ash- dont blame yourself. I love you but there are other people in the room right now I need to distance myself from for a while. I dont know for how long Ill be gone but I dont want you guys to come after me. Just try to move on-forget about me for a wile. Ill come back when Im ready.
Sincerely yours- Natalie

(Pause. She kicks them both in the shins)
Nick/Joe- OWW!
Ashley- what did you two bozos do?

They just put their heads down in guilt.
Ashley- well? Fine

I left the letters addressed to them on the table and started walking away. Before I left the room I turned around.
Ashley- Natalie is a special girl who doesnt deserve this. Whatever you two did, fix it.
