Activate and Jailbreak iOS 5 Beta 1-6 without a Developer Account! (In-Depth Tutorial)

In this tutorial, I will be showing you how to Activate and Jailbreak the new iOS 5 beta 1-6 software without the need for a $99 developer account or your iDevice's UUID registered!

You will NOT be able to get signal without Activating and Jailbreaking your iDevice.

How to jailbreak iOS 5 beta 1-6!

Download Redsn0w beta 5 and UUID Activator file:

Install iOS 5 Beta 5 on your device and update your iTunes to 10.5 beta 5: Download the firmware file and iTunes from here http://imdzl.com. Plug in iDevice, hold (mac) alt or (windows) shift and click restore. Select the firmware file.

Once that is done and installed on your iDevice, run redsn0w and check the box 'Install Custom Bundle'.

Once that's done follow setup the steps on your iDevice and it will be fully activated! As simple as that! No need to access any files on your iDevice!

Steps:

1. Install iTunes 10.5 beta 4. If you try and use iOS 5 beta 1-3 with this version of iTunes, it won't allow your iDevice to sync.

2. Install iOS 5 Beta 4 by putting your iDevice into recovery mode and selecting the appropriate firmware.

3. Plug your iDevice into your computer and Run Redsn0w, browse for iOS 5 beta 4 and follow the steps on screen, let the iDevice do it's thing and then leave it.

4. Once that's done, run iPhone Explorer, go to /root/system/library/coreservices/ and drag SystemVersion.plist onto your desktop and open it in TextEdit.

5. Delete the 2 lines keyReleaseType/key and stringBeta/string. Save the file and replace it with the one on your iDevice. Close iPhone Explorer.

6. Turn off your iPhone, Run Redsn0w, select the iOS 5 beta 4 firmware and instead of choosing 'Install Cydia' hit 'Just Boot Tethered'.

7. Let it load up, go through the activation process and there you have it! Fully activated iDevice running iOS 5 beta 4 without the need for a Developer Account!

(OPTIONAL) 8. If you wan't to restore from a backup from iCloud when going through the activation process, restore from a backup, then when the iDevice resets, turn it off and 'Just Boot Tethered' again from Redsn0w.

by the way, i want to ask if i want to get signal, i need to activate as well as jailbreak? or just activate? i am just afraid if i have done the whole process but without signal in status bar, i will be totally fucked up

@iPhoneK1LLA after i had upgraded to 5.0b4, it crashes a lot and i got stuck in safe mode, it's inconvenient. as a result i downgraded to 4.3.5. that's so lame.
