Does this kind of workout present any possible problems with BP and Heartrate being raised in this stressful manner over a duration of time?

Big time quad work? The first exercise works the hamstring and glutes much more than the quads. If you want big time quad body weight exercise, try hindu squats. Otherwise great exercises, specially the ones for the upper back and shoulders.
