At the talking about the door, all three guys on the right were in episodes of Star Trek, of course Doohan was a regular.

Nimoy didn't look much different in real life than he did on Star Trek. Budget constrants dictated make-up & costumes. I read, the Vulcans were supposed to be mermen, but all they could aford was pointed ears NOT fishy features. The fishman 1st officer had to wait for Tim Allens spoof on ST in the 90's.

Nimoy was afraid of being typecast as mr. spock so he asked his friend vic morrow ,vic said if they make you up so you wont be recognized you wont be typecast .

I'm glad they didn't have all that cheesy makeup. The pointed ears were sufficient. Modern SciFi sucks, because it's all effects and cgi visuals and no stories.
