I've had autoimmune hepatitis since I was nine. In May of this year I relapsed (age 20). I started imuran a couple months ago and prednisone a few days back. I having terrible symtoms (bruising, swelling, enlarged lymphnodes etc.). I'm trying to get in to see my doctor but he doesn't have any available appointments for two weeks. It's pretty scary.

I really needed to see these videos. I was diagnosed w. early stage AIH, and I am pretty frightened. I've started steroids, as described in the video. I think I'm having adverse side effects (dizziness, leg cramps); but I believe that I have a good hepatologist and a good primary care physician. I will be checking this site out often.

I've recently been told that I have AIH. I am on Prednisone and Azatioprine. Nasty side effects. I am looking for anyone who has knowledge of Autoimmune Diseases. My Mother and I both have Autoimmune Diseases set-off by virus. Any info is always welcomed.

I have AIH. I got it a year ago. At the begining we didn´t know what was going on with me , my legs hurt so much, I got bruses on my legs, and then a big pain on my ankles that didn´t let me stand up. Now I´m still taking azatioprine and I quit tthe prednisone in January, but after I left prednisone, my hand bones, specifically two fingers started to hurt, and don´t know what happened.
