We wanted to do something to make a point about Scott Walker's new budget proposal and decided to start by showing how much we appreciate our teachers. The end of unions not only affects the teachers now, but also the quality of education in the future.

Please take time to become educated on both sides of this issue so you can decide what kind of education you want in the future.

Oh my God that was my mom!!

  • Proud graduate of NRHS 2008 happy to see the students supporting the teachers that make WI one of the best states for education in the country. We support the educators behind you in solidarity!!!

  • and above all else, putting the politics aside, these students were just showing their support and appreciation for the teachers and educators who prepare them for the future.

  • I think above all other things, we need to give credit to the students who stood up and showed their support and voiced their opinions in standing up for what they believe in. They could have very well sat back and done nothing. They took the initiative to get out there and do something to make a difference. I applaud them. We should be very proud that our students are taking the initiative to become involved.

  • As a New Richmond Graduate i have been watching this ridiculous onslaught against the undeniable fact that our state is out of money, NEW RICHMOND is out of money especially thanks to the high cost of the new campus. This video states that the Gov's bill will hurt teachers, but whats going to hurt teachers more than layoff? Which is inevitable unless we curb spending. What is being asked of these teachers is a modest request and is only HALF of what the rest of America is contributing.

  • I am sure I am not the only one who believes these students may only have heard one side of the argument to curtail collective bargaining PRIVILEGES. Those privileges have been abused by the unions for decades. We taxpayers cannot afford it any longer. Wisconsin is broke! Education and employee compensation are the largest component of our state budget so that is where the deepest cuts will have to be made. They should also keep in mind that THEY will be the ones paying for those gold-plat

  • Proud to be a 2004 graduate from NRHS! Thank you to the current NRHS students for showing your support to the teachers in this difficult time! A giant THANK YOU to all the teachers who helped shape my life and the lives of others! Keep up the good work because all your students past and present see what a difference you have made and will continue to make in the future!

  • My friend recommended that I view this. As a teacher myself, I am soooooo proud of the New Richmond students and their teachers. We're all in this together!

  • So proud of our students
