tippo is right; in VF5, Pai Chan's power palm strike, if timed just right, and landed against a charging opponent will take off 60%. If you charge an opponent, and they hit you, their strike does more damage. Its one of the bitches of playing as Akira; because he throws everything he's got, and his moves have so much power behind them, if met by a force of equal power (like Dural) at just the right moment, he loses a lot of his health. That is why he's an experts only character.

She use a well placed bodycheck to counter Akira. Akira does have that move FYI, just the timing is crucial to do more damage.
