@HelmutVonSphincter Yep, I was getting top dollar. Above the pool in a bachelor apartment - no bedroom, the living room doubled as my lesson studio. That was twenty-eight years ago. I started selling my lessons from there in the rock fan magazines (Cream, Circus, and Hit Parader). Within a year I was living in a 3 level home in Woodland Hills also known as a deluxe apartment in the sky.

not honestly expecting a reply here but we'll see what happens. ive struggled over the past year with guitar playing and it seems like when i sit down to practice i just play the same old stuff until i get bored. im stuck in the aeolian mode and mode and the same licks over and over. cant seem to get outa my little box. any help would be appreciated from doug or from anyone...thanks

@MrPhenomenal7 You posted this to another one of my videos. I answered your comment \there. In a nutshell, learn something new and the guitar will become new. Playing the same old thing will only bore you and make you lose interest. Check out the newsletters at the bottom of the metalmethod com home page. This one is for you "Motivation for Guitarists."

Do you have a beginner soloing lesson? I've played for many years but do not feel comfortable in the spotlight playing solo
