My doctor was a Z ...he had sleepy eyes..I was scared he was gonna tell me i was dying ..and fall asleep halfway before he told ME-!!

They made Tom C's Character Strelnakov look like the Young Dimitri Shostakovich-one of the greatest soviet composers
-
Strelnikov is what Wall Street creeps have in store for them in a few years if they don't wake up. The world is not all about them and their selfish desires 24/7.

Proud to be Toms relative :)

The dialogue that you quote after this clip is, in my opinion, the best part of the movie. I believe that Pasha's aide is present during the conversation and when Zhivago says "Your point - their village", the aide is ready to shoot the doctor on the spot for such insolence, but Pasha tells him no. And when Zhivago is allowed to leave, I believe he is told that he is one of the fortunate few to leave the train alive. Great movie!!!

I love that jacket that Tom Courtenay is wearing. I wonder if it still exists and how much it would go for at an auction.
Why do they not make movies like this anymore.

Wow--I can't take my eyes off this scene--Sharif is so calm and understated, and Courtenay is absolutely mesmerizing! He definitely deserved his Oscar nomination for this role!
